About us

A Ghanaian factory competing on quality, not sympathy

Alliance Welding Solutions was founded on a simple position: if the electrode is approved by the Ghana Standards Authority and consistent from packet to packet, buying local should be the obvious choice. That is how we intend to win business.

The factory

Our plant at Gomoa Fetteh, in Ghana's Central Region, houses electrode extrusion lines, controlled-humidity drying, wire processing and packing — with consistency checks built into the production process, and Ghana Standards Authority approval behind the range.

Sitting on the coastal corridor between Accra and Winneba, we dispatch along the Accra–Cape Coast–Takoradi axis and serve customers across Ghana.

We host factory visits for procurement and engineering teams — walk the lines, watch the testing, and satisfy yourself before you commit a purchase order.

How our electrodes are made

  1. 1

    Wire drawing & cutting

Steel wire rod is drawn to the target electrode diameter and cut to length on site.

  2. 2

    Flux mixing & extrusion

Flux minerals are batched, mixed and pressure-extruded onto the core wire for a concentric, tightly bonded coating.

  3. 3

    Controlled drying

Electrodes pass through controlled-humidity drying so coatings reach the correct moisture level for their class.

  4. 4

    Testing & packing

Finished batches are checked against their classification requirements, then sealed in moisture-resistant packets for coastal conditions.

Why we manufacture here

Industrialisation is won one factory at a time

Ghana consumes thousands of tonnes of welding consumables a year, and for decades nearly all of it was imported. Every container that lands at port carries freight cost, exchange rate exposure and months of lead time baked into its price.

Manufacturing locally removes those costs and keeps the value — jobs, skills, laboratory capability and tax revenue — in the Ghanaian economy. It also means the manufacturer is a phone call away when a batch question or an urgent order lands on your desk.
